18 Kinds of Yakitori

I tried this one when I'm on my last vacation. It's more nice than on my country. I should try the others next time ^_^)
Yakitori (焼き鳥) literally translates to "grilled chicken". It's a popular Japanese drinking food. It also makes regular appearances at festivals and events.



Yakitori is bit-sized food on skewers that's grilled over charcoal. It's a common food in Japan — there's a Yakitori-ya (Yakitori restaurant) in every major neighborhood. Here's a list of the 18 most common types of Yakitori.


1. Toriniku
All white meat chicken. 


2. Negima
Chicken and Negi. 


3. Shiitake
Shiitake mushrooms. 


4. Tebasaki
Chicken wings. 


5. Asuparabekon
Asparagus wrapped in bacon. 


6. Sunagimo
Chicken gizzard. 


7. Reba
Chicken liver. 


8. Nankotsu
Chicken cartilage. 


9. Piman
Green pepper filled with cheese, meat and other ingredients. 


10. Enoki Maki
Enoki mushrooms wrapped in thin sliced pork. 


11. Ginnan
Seeds of the Ginkgo Biloba tree. 


12. Shiro
Chicken small intestine. 


13. Gyutan
Beef tongue. 


14. Butabara
Pork belly. 


15. Tsukune
Chicken meatballs (often with small pieces of Chicken cartilage). 


16. Bonjiri
Chicken tail. 


17. Atsuage
Deep fried tofu. 


18. Chorizo
Spanish pork sausages.
